Paul George Exits Sixers-Bulls Game with Pinky Injury; MRI Scheduled

Paul George exited the Philadelphia 76ers’ recent match against the Chicago Bulls due to a left pinky injury, causing concerns for both the player and the team. The injury occurred in the second quarter of the game, after George had contributed nine points in just 13 minutes of play. Following the incident, he did not return to the game, which concluded with the 76ers securing a 109-97 victory, marking their second consecutive win amidst a challenging season.

During the post-game conference, coach Nick Nurse confirmed that George's injury was a jammed finger on his non-shooting hand. As a precautionary measure, the team has scheduled an MRI to assess any potential damage. This injury adds to the numerous challenges the Sixers face this season, having already dealt with various player injuries. Prior to this game, George had been averaging 17.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.8 assists over 29 games.

In George's absence, Tyrese Maxey emerged as a key player for the 76ers, finishing the game with 31 points and nine assists. Kelly Oubre Jr. also made significant contributions, adding 22 points and leading the team in rebounds with 12. The Sixers, now improving to a 17-27 record, are hoping to build on this momentum as they prepare for their next matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers.
