Mark Daigneault to Coach in 2025 NBA All-Star Game Following Thunder's Strong Start

Mark Daigneault, head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder, has been confirmed to coach one of the four teams in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game. This announcement comes on the heels of the Thunder's decisive 127-101 victory over the Brooklyn Nets, which secured the team a remarkable 35-7 record and placed them at the top of the Western Conference. Daigneault's achievement marks him as the first coach from Oklahoma City to participate in the event since Scott Brooks in the 2013-14 season.

The 2025 NBA All-Star Game is set to feature a new format, where instead of the traditional matchup, the All-Star teams will compete in a mini-tournament. Each of the four teams will consist of eight players, with the winners of the initial matchups proceeding to the championship round. The first team to reach or exceed 40 points will be declared the victor of the tournament.

Daigneault's coaching staff will include one of his assistant coaches, who will also take charge of another All-Star team.
The other two teams will be led by a head coach and an assistant from the Eastern Conference's top-ranked team.
This signifies a notable milestone for Daigneault, who has displayed exceptional leadership in guiding the team to its best start in franchise history.
