Atlanta Hawks Forward Zaccharie Risacher Out for at Least One Week
Atlanta Hawks forward Zaccharie Risacher is expected to miss at least one week due to a left adductor strain. The injury has already sidelined him for the last three games, having initially occurred during a matchup against the Phoenix Suns. Risacher is set to be re-evaluated in approximately one week to assess his recovery progress.
Risacher, who was the first overall pick in the June draft, has been a developing player in his rookie season. So far, he has averaged 10.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game while shooting 40.3% from the field and 28.1% from three-point range. His scoring has shown inconsistency, as he has had difficulty reaching double digits in several games, despite a notable performance where he scored 33 points against the New York Knicks on November 6.
In Risacher's absence, Vit Krejci has stepped into the lineup. The Hawks have numerous games lined up over the week, including matchups against the Detroit Pistons and Toronto Raptors, that will proceed without the rookie star. The Hawks will provide updates on his status following the re-evaluation.
